The mission of the Dads of St. John’s is to encourage fathers and father figures to actively engage in volunteer leadership, service, and community-building efforts that support the St. John’s community.
Rooted in connection, service, and fellowship, Dads of St. John’s works in partnership with the Parents Association to strengthen relationships among families and foster a welcoming environment for the entire St. John’s parent community.
Since its founding in 2001, the Dads of St. John’s has been an important part of our School community, supporting School events and encouraging parent involvement. Open and welcoming to the entire St. John’s parent community, the organization continues to foster connection, service, and community while working in partnership with the Parents Association.
Beloved traditions like Carpool Takeover, Lions Care Day, DSJ Breakfast with Kids, and the annual Cornhole Tournament and Social bring parents together for fellowship and service throughout the year.
The Robert Shive Golf Classic serves as the Dads of St. John’s annual fundraiser, helping support programs and initiatives that benefit all St. John’s students.
Events
Dads of St. John’s members attend club meetings - sometimes with the kids, sometimes without — and in addition to monthly happy hours, participate in several events throughout the year, including Cornhole and Tailgate, Morning Carpool Takeover, Lions Care Day, and the annual Robert Shive Golf Classic.
Leading the group in 2026–2027 will be Alex Barnes and JC Collins.
