St. John’s now offers a great learn-to-ride camp for kids from K-4th grade! Beginning Biking is directed by Coach Stewart Ball, founder of Dallas Bicycling School. Your child will learn to ride skillfully and safely in the confines of St. John’s campus. Our instructors are experienced in making sure children overcome their fears and experience the thrill of riding a bike on their own. *Campers will need their own bikes and helmets for this camp. Bikes will be stored on the SJES Campus for the week for easy transport.

Strum along to your favorites in no time as you learn to play the guitar in a relaxed setting with your friends. You will learn the basics of the guitar, several chords, and strum patterns throughout this two week course (July 5-8 and July 11-15 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.). There will be an optional performance on Friday, July 15 at 11:30 a.m. to show off your new skills!

USTA NetGeneration tennis is a nationally recognized program designed to introduce young children to the sport.  The program is designed to teach the fundamentals without courts through a curriculum focused on learning the basic skills. Each skill is combined with fun games and exercises to reinforce the learning experience.  The skills introduced are serve, volley, overhead, backhand/forehand. Tennis etiquette and rules of the game are also introduced during the camp. This is an ideal learning experience for children to gain confidence and interest. All equipment is provided by USTA.

Join in on other rescues throughout the week and save the world as any Paw Patrol Character would! Crafts, stories and fun will fill the week for any Paw Patrol Fan. The week ends with a Birthday Party Celebration for Mayor Goodway!

Turn up the heat in the afternoons as you get cooking with Ms. Hernandez!  In this class students will create animations and games using Alice programming language. Noted for its ease and simplicity, Alice was designed at Carnegie Mellon for use in introductory programming classes in high school and college. As they create animated scenes and games using our guided lessons, students learn basic programming theory, computational thinking, debugging techniques and other fundamental programming skills. Campers are required to bring a laptop or Chromebook with them to camp daily.

Our experienced primary instructors are looking forward to providing a safe environment for your child to explore and learn new things! Please note this camp runs daily from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. If you have siblings in other St. John's camps and would like to pick up at the same time, you may select the 3:00-4:00 p.m. aftercare option below.
