Dear St. John’s School Faculty and Staff,

Easter is just around the corner—the “main event” of the Church Year.

This year, St. John’s Episcopal Church is adding a third Easter service to our schedule. Between our more traditional offerings at 8:00 and 11:00 a.m., we are excited about our new Family Eucharist at 9:00 a.m.

It’s just for Easter Day, and I want to personally invite you—the students, teachers, family and friends of the larger St. John’s community—to worship with us at 9:00 a.m. on April 21. Students and teachers will be familiar with the liturgy, and we will have the great Easter hymns of our tradition, choir, brass and timpani, and a children’s sermon to make sure all ages hear the Good News.
Following the service, at 10:15 a.m. we have our annual Easter Egg Hunt on the playground and a big reception in Parish Hall. And throughout the morning, our caring nursery staff are on hand to attend to children up through 5 years old.

However you spend Easter Day, be blessed. And thank you for your presence in the St. John’s Episcopal School community.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. David S. Houk
