Crusader Club Cares Day 2018

All St. John's families are invited to join the Crusader Club Saturday, December 8, for the tenth annual Crusader Club Cares Day. Volunteers will gather in the Lower School commons area by 9:00 a.m. for coffee, snacks and a prayer. Groups will divide for individual, age-appropriate projects, all of which will be completed by noon. This year, participants will help three local agencies: SoupMobile, Buckner International, and Gateway of Grace.

SoupMobile – Lower School Commons

Pre-k and kindergarten students and their parents will remain at school and wrap cookies and create message cards to include in the packages. The treats will later be delivered to SoupMobile headquarters for distribution to homeless citizens. This project will take place at the school and will end around 10:30 a.m.

Buckner Foundation – 5200 S. Buckner Blvd. Dallas, TX 75227

First through fourth grade students and their parents will help sort through toy donations and prepare them for holiday "shopping" for Buckner clients. Meet at St. John's and carpool to the Buckner campus, 5200 South Buckner Blvd. Activities will conclude by noon.

Gateway of Grace - 8515 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243

The fifth through eighth grade group will will help clean classrooms and organize storage areas used by Gateway of Grace children as well as adults attending ESL classes. They will also assist in sorting through Christmas donations and help to wrap donated gifts.
