St. John's Leadership

Serves as the leadership body of the Board, responsible for guiding Board operations and addressing urgent matters between Board meetings. The Committee also provides oversight and coordination of Board committees and facilitates strong governance processes.

Oversees the independent audit process, compliance with applicable regulations, and implementation of any audit recommendations, ensuring the integrity and transparency of the School’s financial reporting and internal controls.

Provides strategic leadership and partnership to the Head of School and Advancement Team in the design and execution of a comprehensive, mission-driven fundraising and engagement program. Its purpose is to ensure strong philanthropic support of the School through annual giving, capital and endowment campaigns, major gifts, and initiatives to strengthen donor acquisition, retention, and overall community participation.

Oversees the growth and development of the Board, ensuring that the School flourishes now and in the future. The Committee determines the composition of the Board, its professional development, and a self-evaluation process for trustees.

Provides strategic oversight of the financial health of the School, ensuring sound financial practices and long-range sustainability aligned with the School’s Episcopal mission. Works closely with the Head of School and the Chief Financial Officer to develop and monitor the School’s budget, assess financial policies, and maintain fiduciary integrity on behalf of the Board.

Provides oversight and strategic direction for the management of the School’s endowments and long-term investment assets, ensuring that funds are stewarded responsibly to support the School’s Episcopal mission and strategic goals.
