In 1953, St. John's Episcopal Church incorporated St. John's Episcopal School as its primary outreach. That action so many years ago created a small school to aid parish families and the East Dallas community by offering an excellent education in a Christian environment.
Today, St. John's is the oldest Episcopal school in Dallas and serves approximately 500 preschool through eighth grade children from our surrounding community. And the school remains one of the church's primary outreaches: the rector and chaplain conduct daily chapel services; parishioners serve on the school Board; and the church and school work together on activities and events.
St. John's Church is a parish of Anglican Christians who seek to know, love and serve Christ through worship, discipleship and mission. Worship at St. John's is characterized by musical and ceremonial beauty, and the church strives for excellence in the many educational and ministry opportunities available to adults, youth and children.
