Support St. John's

A variety of opportunities to get involved at St. John’s makes it easy to find activities or events that suit your interests, talents and schedule. The Parents Association and Crusader Club (our dads’ club) play key roles – organizing volunteers, hosting social events and raising funds for the school.

St. John’s community members support the school financially as well. For the past six years, 100% of our parents, faculty, staff and Board members have contributed to the St. John’s Annual Fund. We are honored to be the recipient of such strong community support.

Ways to Give

Gifts to St. John’s Episcopal School may be made by cash, check, VISA, MasterCard or American Express. It is also possible to include the school as part of your estate planning process, designate the school as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or make a gift of appreciated stock.

Endowment and Special Purpose Funds

2011-2012 Annual Fund

The St. John’s Annual Fund supplements the school’s operating budget and directly supports the programs and environment that distinguish a St. John’s education. Music, art drama, library enhancements, financial aid and faculty benefits are a few areas that have been subsidized by the Annual Fund in past years.

Dorothy Patterson Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Dorothy Patterson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1981 by Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cook in memory of Dorothy Patterson, the original first grade teacher at St. John’s. The fund was created to provide financial assistance to students who would not otherwise be able to receive a private education and to families faced with unexpected hard times.

Teacher Endowment Fund

The Teacher Endowment Fund was established to provide St. John's with a continuing source of income for teacher salaries and benefits.

Head’s Discretionary Scholarship Fund

The Head’s Discretionary Scholarship Fund was created by the Class of 2002 with a challenge for all future graduating classes to donate to this fund. The fund was created to allow a student to continue his or her education at St. John’s if the family encounters unforeseen financial circumstances.

St. John’s Diversity Endowment Fund

The Diversity Fund was created to provide financial aid to and increase the population of diverse students.

St. John’s Student Library Endowment

The St. John’s Student Library Endowment was established by the Huff family to provide a continuing source of income for library enhancements, author visits and additional books.
