Camp Additions

Occasionally, we have the opportunity to offer a last-minute-after-the-brochure-was-printed great camp. When that happens, we'll list the camp here. You'll be able to register for late additions online.

GAME DESIGN AND SPECIAL EFFECTS
HTKids / 3rd-8th Grades / Session 2 / Mornings / $195

Campers will learn the basics of graphic design and special effects for print and the web. With the use of paint.net, pic monkey and big huge labs, campers will create their own avatar, movie poster, photo collages, illustrations/cartoons, edit and add special effects to photos and other creations. They'll gain an understanding of different file types, including .gif and .jpg. They'll also learn how to properly save and retrieve images on the appropriate drive or cloud service. The skills gained from this camp will allow campers to use their imaginations to create a variety of designs for many years to come.

Join Us for Summer Fun

Look forward to old favorites like Commune with Your Community, American Girl and Wild Kingdom in the Metroplex among MANY others. New camps for summer 2013 include volleyball for younger ages, more LEGO robotics camps and a super-fun survival camp for Middle School students.

We offer one-week summer day camps for children four years old through eighth grade. Morning, afternoon and full-day sessions are available, as well as optional before- and after-care.

  • Before-care: 7:30 - 9 a.m.
  • Morning sessions: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Afternoon sessions: 1 - 4 p.m.
  • After-care: 4 - 6 p.m.

Campers participating in full-day or morning and afternoon sessions remain on campus for lunch and a play period.

Nut-Sensitive Environment

To create the safest, healthiest and most inclusive environment for all St. John's campers, we have adopted a policy making St. John's Episcopal School a nut-sensitive environment. Our school is free of products containing peanuts or tree nuts. (Tree nuts include nuts such as cashews, almonds, pecans, walnuts, pistachios.) Please read our clinic advisory on the subject for details about which foods your child may and may not bring to camp.
