Board of Trustees

The governing body of St. John's Episcopal School is our Board of Trustees. The school by-laws establish the Board as responsible for managing the activities and affairs of the school. The Board sets the school's major policies, ensures those policies are upheld, and hires and evaluates the Head of School. The Board also ensures the school has sufficient resources to fulfill our mission by establishing an annual budget and creating strategic plans, which provide a blueprint for the Board's short- and long-term activities. Our trustees are:

  • Ford Keith, President
  • Andy Anderson
  • Gerry Baines
  • Christina Bovard
  • Garry Brown
  • Kathy Clement
  • Mark Crotty, Ex-officio
  • Joe Edwards
  • Bob Foster
  • The Rev'd David Houk
  • Tim Laczkowski
  • Michael Martin
  • John Miller

  • Michelle Patison
  • Brad Reeves

  • Ann West, Ex-officio

Standing Committees

Much of the Board of Trustees' work is completed in committees and task forces. Standing committees focus on key, ongoing or administrative matters and allow the Board to fulfill its oversight role. A task force is designed to focus on a particular issue or initiative and typically disbands once its task is complete. Members for both include trustees, parents and community members. Please contact the Board president if you are interested in participating on a Board committee or task force.

Advancement Committee

Supports the advancement of the school's mission through a variety of programs; in particular, this committee coordinates all school-related fundraising activities.

Committee on Trustees

Develops and communicates candidate criteria for Board membership. Continually educates all Board and committee members.

Finance Committee

Prepares the school's budget, reviews monthly financial statements and considers other school-related financial matters.

Property and Insurance Committee

Responsible for all insurance covering the school and oversees the maintenance, repair and improvements of the school's building and grounds.

Task Forces

Master Site Plan Task Force

The Master Site Plan Task Force is charged with the development of a strategy and the execution of pre-planning for the St. John's campus master site plan. Task Force members will consider the church and school's current and future needs by focusing on the best use of existing property and potential development opportunities.
