Parent Volunteer RegistrationParents should have received login information and link to register via email May 16 from Sarah Donahue (firstname.lastname@example.org). We encourage you to complete the brief sign-up as soon as possible, as the PA will use the information over the summer to create volunteer assignments. If you did not receive registration instructions, please contact Sarah.
Middle School TextbooksSeventh graders have the option of purchasing a math textbook (supplemental to the school-provided e-text), and eighth graders must purchase a science textbook (resource is new this year). The links below are provided for your convenience; you may purchase the books from other sources, if you prefer. Please do not purchase a teacher edition of either of these textbooks.
Middle School ScheduleParents will receive an email from Head of Middle School Pam Jordan regarding schedules, after which we will post details here.
ImmunizationsAll students must have all state-required immunizations on file with the school by the first day of school, August 23. Parents of students who do not have up-to-date immunizations on file should have received a non-compliance email in July. Parents had the opportunity to update medical records earlier this year during online re-enrollment (returning students) or enrollment (new students). If your child has received new immunizations or a new medical diagnosis since then or your child is new to the school and you have not submitted an immunization record yet, please submit the records to clinic nurse Amy Johns or have your doctor's office fax a record to 214-328-9131. Students with diabetes, severe asthma, or a severe allergy requiring an epi-pen must have an action plan on file in the clinic. If you do not have an action plan from your child's doctor, contact Nurse Johns by email for the required forms.
UniformsYou may find dress code and uniform information beginning on page 36 of the St. Johnís handbook.
Parker Uniforms in Casa Linda stocks new St. John's uniform pieces (except the P.E. uniform, sweatshirts and Middle School hoodie, which are available through Crusader Shop - see below). Parker is the only supplier of logo patches for uniform sweaters/blazers. Please note the date of Uniform Resale, where you can purchase gently used uniforms: Saturday, August 19, 9:00 a.m. to noon.Other Dress Code Notes
- P.E. shirts and shorts are available through the PA's Crusader Shop. Fourth grade girls wear the P.E. shorts as their modesty shorts so they can quickly remove skirts for P.E.; Middle School boys and girls wear the P.E. shirts and shorts.
- Regarding Middle School socks: Students may wear white, black or navy socks of any length. Nike Elite or other performance socks are acceptable in white, black or navy only (i.e., no neon or neon-accented Nike Elites).
- We have made some adjustments to the Middle School uniform shoe options for boys and girls. Our hope is that these changes will be comfortable for students and will make it easier for them to consistently adhere to the dress code.
Boys: Solid black, lace-up athletic shoe with non-marking sole and black laces (no color other than black on logo, sole or any part of the shoe) OR solid black Sperry with black laces.
Girls: Solid white, lace-up athletic shoe with non-marking sole and white laces. (no color other than white on logo, sole or any part of the shoe) OR solid navy blue leather Sperry.

CarpoolTwo carpool tags are distributed to each Lower School family. (Middle School doesn't use carpool tags.) You may request additional carpool tags from our receptionist, Darlene Williams.
Refer to the chart below for carpool pick-up and drop-off times. Harter Road is one-way during carpool hours. From 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. and 2:45 to 4:00 p.m., enter the campus by turning right into the drive from Harter Road and exit by turning right onto Harter Road. As a courtesy to our neighbors, please do not use the residential streets as a cut-through to or from Buckner Boulevard. Read the carpool guidelines.
