Thank you for your interest in St. John’s Episcopal School. We are excited to share the special community that is St. John's with you and hope our School will be a match for your family's educational goals for your children.

Step 1: Request Information and Schedule a Visit

After speaking with a member of our team on the phone or after visiting campus, you may feel free to start the application process by creating an online account and filling out the initial application form linked here.

Although the last day to do this is Friday, January 14, we strongly encourage you to do this in the Fall (October – December) so you can begin the next steps of the process listed below.

Step 3: Manage Application Checklist

After completing the form and fee, you will have access to the online Application Portal and Checklist, where you will be able to manage the next steps including:

Complete Written Parent Questionnaire Online
- See Application Checklist
Scheduling a Parent Interview (Instructions on when/how to do this to come)
Requesting official school records from current school
- See records release form attached to Application Checklist
- Must be sent to current school no later than January 14, 2022
- Must be received by SJES no later than January 21, 2022
Requesting Current Teacher Evaluation and Recommendation Forms
- It is recommended to do this no earlier than December 1 and no later than January 14, 2022
- Forms must be received by SJES by January 21, 2022

STEP 4: STUDENT EVALUATIONS AND TESTING

Primary and Lower School Student Evaluation (PS-4^th Grade)

We believe in observing children in situations they'll encounter each day when in school. For pre-k through 4th grade children, we evaluate the children in classroom-type settings and on the playground.

These appointments will be available by January 4, 2022 through the application portal and checklist.

Middle School Testing (applicants for 5^th-8^th grade)

For 5th through 8th grade, we require applicants to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). ISEE must be taken on or before Saturday, February 5, 2022.

Middle School Student Interview (applicants for 5^th-8^th grade):
