Survey Sheet - School Greenness |
|||
| Purpose | |||
| The purpose of this survey is to evaluate the criteria listed below to determine if they apply to schools around the world. Not all schools will meet all criteria, however our goal is to make the criteria universally attainable. | |||
| Suggested Steps | |||
| 1. Introduce the Green Ribbon School Pilot Project to your students. See Project Overview | |||
| 2. Divide your class into 8 groups using the categories listed below (highlighted in yellow, for example Water Conservation) | |||
| 3. Have students in each group research their assigned category by clicking on the links for information. Some criteria is self explanatory so no link is provided. | |||
| 4. The mandatory requirement in each category is a criteria that we think all schools should meet. Each group should discuss their mandatory requirement and determine if they think it is a valid requirement. List the reasons for your decision. Does your school meet your category's mandatory requirement? Record that information . | |||
| 5. The recommended criteria in each category is criteria that we think all schools should try to meet. Each group should discuss the recommended criteria and determine which criteria their school meets. Record that information in the points earned column. | |||
| 6. Now, look back over the criteria one more time and identify any criteria that you think should be revised, added or eliminated. Record that information in the space provided. | |||
| 7. Email this information to therrin@stjohnsschool.org | |||
| 8. Congratulations! The School Greenness Survey is now complete. | |||
| 9. Go to the Make a Difference form. | |||
